Senior Sales Associate

Music & Arts seeks a Senior Sales Associate to lead retail sales at our national music store, helping students, parents, and educators find the right instruments, rentals, and lessons. In this role, you'll provide expert product guidance, manage rentals, promote private lessons, and maintain merchandising standards. You'll build relationships with schools and community partners while supporting store events. Ideal candidates have strong retail or specialty sales experience, a passion for music education, and a service-driven mindset in a collaborative, student-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive retail sales of instruments, accessories, and lessons to meet and exceed store goals
• Provide expert product recommendations to students, parents, and educators
• Support customers with instrument rentals, returns, and upgrades
• Promote and enroll students in private lessons and educational programs
• Maintain merchandising standards, stock, and store presentation
• Process transactions accurately using POS systems and follow cash-handling procedures
• Build relationships with local schools, directors, and community partners
• Assist with special events, workshops, and in-store promotions
• Support new staff with product knowledge and customer-service best practices
