Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher for our retail lesson studio. In this role, you will provide private and small group lessons to beginner and intermediate students, focusing on proper technique, music literacy, and performance skills. You'll create customized lesson plans, prepare students for recitals and school performances, and communicate progress with parents and educators. You'll collaborate with store staff to support rentals and accessories needs, maintain accurate schedules and records, and contribute to a positive, student focused environment aligned with our mission of expanding access to music education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver private and small-group music lessons to beginner and intermediate students
• Develop individualized lesson plans and learning objectives
• Teach technique, music theory, and reading skills appropriate to each instrument
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances
• Communicate student progress regularly with parents and guardians
• Collaborate with store staff to align lessons with rentals, repairs, and accessories needs
• Maintain accurate schedules, attendance, and student records
• Create an engaging, safe, and inclusive learning environment
• Support studio recitals and in store educational events
• Uphold Music & Arts policies and brand standards in the lesson studio
