Brass and Woodwind Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a Brass and Woodwind Teacher to provide high-quality private and small-group lessons in our retail store. You will teach students of varying ages and skill levels, create individualized lesson plans, and prepare students for school performances, auditions, and recitals. Collaborate with store staff to support rentals, accessories, and repair referrals while promoting a positive, student-focused environment. Track student progress, communicate with parents and educators, and help build enrollment through excellent instruction and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and small-group brass and woodwind lessons to students of all ages and levels
• Develop individualized lesson plans and learning goals aligned with student needs
• Prepare students for concerts, auditions, exams, and recitals
• Assess and document student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and students
• Collaborate with store staff to support rentals, accessories, and repair services
• Promote lesson programs and help build and retain a strong student roster
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment
• Incorporate music theory, technique, and musicianship into lessons
• Coordinate lesson schedules and manage time effectively
• Engage with local schools and educators to support music education initiatives
