Music Teacher

Music & Arts is seeking a passionate Music Teacher to provide high quality private and group lessons in our retail store. In this role, you'll teach students of varying ages and skill levels, develop lesson plans, and prepare students for performances and school programs. You'll collaborate with store staff to support rentals, instrument care, and accessory recommendations that enhance learning. The ideal candidate has strong performance and teaching skills, excellent communication, and a student first mindset in a friendly, community focused retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Develop individualized lesson plans aligned with student goals and school programs
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances
• Assess student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians
• Collaborate with store staff on instrument rentals, repairs, and accessory recommendations
• Maintain an engaging, safe, and inclusive learning environment in the store studio
• Use method books, technology, and practice tools to support skill development
• Advise students on instrument care and basic maintenance
• Accurately track lesson schedules, attendance, and student records
• Support Music & Arts community events and educational outreach as needed
