Cello Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a Cello Teacher to provide inspiring private and group lessons in our retail lesson studio. You will teach students of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced players, using structured curricula that build technique, tone, and musical expression. Responsibilities include lesson planning, progress tracking, recital and audition preparation, and regular communication with parents. You'll collaborate with store staff to support enrollment and recommend instruments and accessories, all while fostering an inclusive, student-focused, and performance-oriented learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and small-group cello lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Create individualized lesson plans that build technique, musicality, and repertoire over time
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, school performances, and ensemble participation
• Assess student progress regularly and communicate goals and feedback to students and parents
• Maintain accurate lesson schedules, attendance, and basic student progress records
• Collaborate with store staff to support lesson enrollment, scheduling, and retention
• Advise students and families on appropriate instruments, accessories, and maintenance needs
• Uphold a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment aligned with Music & Arts culture
