Body Shop Technician

P4 Automotive in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a skilled Body Shop Technician to perform structural and cosmetic repairs on a wide range of vehicles. In this role, you'll diagnose collision damage, repair and replace panels, perform frame straightening, and refinish surfaces to manufacturer and safety standards. You'll collaborate closely with service advisors and technicians to ensure accurate estimates and timely completion. Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess collision damage and develop repair plans to meet safety and manufacturer standards.
• Perform structural, frame, and unibody repairs using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Repair, replace, and align body panels, bumpers, and other exterior components.
• Prepare surfaces, perform body filler work, sanding, and masking for refinishing.
• Apply primers, basecoats, and clearcoats, ensuring proper color match and high-quality finish.
• Use welding, cutting, and fabrication tools safely to complete necessary repairs.
• Document repair work, parts used, and communicate progress with service advisors and team members.
• Follow shop safety procedures, maintain a clean, organized work area, and properly handle hazardous materials.
• Collaborate with technicians and estimators to ensure accurate estimates and on-time job completion.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with new materials, repair methods, and equipment.
