String Teacher

Music & Arts is seeking a String Teacher for our Store 7337. In this part-time role, you'll provide private and small-group violin, viola, cello, or bass instruction to students of all ages and skill levels. You will develop lesson plans, prepare students for recitals and school performances, and communicate progress with parents and educators. You'll collaborate with store staff to support rentals, accessories, and events, creating a welcoming, student-focused environment that aligns with our mission to expand access to high-quality music education in the community.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and small-group string lessons (violin, viola, cello, bass) to students of varying ages and levels
• Develop individualized lesson plans aligned with student goals and school curricula
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school or community performances
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction methods and materials as needed
• Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and educators about student development
• Maintain accurate schedules, attendance records, and progress notes
• Collaborate with store staff to support rentals, accessories, and educational events
• Create an inclusive, encouraging, and safe learning environment in the lesson studio
