Panther Premium Logistics, a service of ArcBest, is seeking experienced Owner Operator Truck Drivers to support our premium, time-critical freight network across North America. In this fast-paced, customer-first role, you'll haul high-value and temperature-sensitive shipments while operating as an independent contractor. You will manage your own business, maintain your equipment, and partner with Panther's 24/7 operations and advanced technology to optimize loads and utilization. We emphasize safety, professionalism, and reliability, empowering drivers to solve complex logistics challenges while maximizing earning potential and long-term growth.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a commercial vehicle to safely transport time-critical, high-value, and temperature-sensitive freight across North America
  • Follow all FMCSA/DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and Panther Premium Logistics safety standards
  • Manage owner-operator business duties, including fuel, maintenance scheduling, and basic equipment upkeep
  • Use onboard technology, ELDs, and dispatch systems to accept loads, track shipments, and provide real-time status updates
  • Coordinate closely with 24/7 operations, customers, and team members to meet strict pickup and delivery windows
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, document issues, and ensure equipment is road-ready
  • Secure, protect, and, when required, monitor temperature-sensitive or specialized freight to prevent damage or loss
  • Maintain accurate trip logs, bills of lading, and proof-of-delivery documentation for every shipment
  • Represent Panther Premium Logistics with professionalism, providing responsive and courteous service at shipper and consignee locations
  • Continuously uphold a safety-first, customer-focused mindset while adapting to a fast-paced, over-the-road environment

Required Skills

  • Commercial driving (CDL Class A or B)
  • Long-haul / regional trucking operations
  • Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) use
  • FMCSA/DOT safety and HOS compliance
  • Trip planning and route optimization
  • Cargo securement and inspection
  • Temperature-controlled freight handling
