Piano Teacher

Music & Arts is seeking a passionate Piano Teacher to provide high quality private and group piano instruction in our retail lesson studio. The Piano Teacher will develop customized lesson plans, teach proper technique and music theory, and prepare students for recitals, exams, and performances. You'll communicate progress to parents, maintain an engaging, student focused environment, and support store events that promote music education. This role collaborates with store staff to schedule lessons, support enrollments, and uphold a welcoming, inclusive culture that inspires lifelong music learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and small group piano instruction to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Develop and follow individualized lesson plans that build technique, theory, and musicianship
• Prepare students for recitals, performances, and music exams where applicable
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians
• Maintain accurate schedules, attendance records, and progress notes
• Collaborate with store staff to support lesson enrollments and retention
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and student focused learning environment
• Incorporate a variety of teaching materials, methods, and repertoire to keep students engaged
• Encourage regular practice habits and goal setting with each student
• Participate in store events and education focused activities as requested
