Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide high-quality private and group lessons in our retail store. You will teach beginning and intermediate students on band, orchestra, or popular instruments, using structured curricula and clear learning goals. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, assessing progress, communicating with parents, and collaborating with store staff to support rentals, accessories, and events. Ideal candidates have teaching or performance experience, strong musicianship, and a desire to inspire students in a friendly, student-focused, community-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group music lessons to beginning and intermediate students
• Develop and follow structured lesson plans and curricula
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about goals and progress
• Collaborate with store staff to support rentals, sales, and recitals/events
• Maintain accurate schedules, attendance, and basic lesson records
• Prepare students for performances, auditions, and evaluations
• Create an inclusive, encouraging, student-centered learning environment
