Music Teacher

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide engaging private and group lessons in our busy retail store. In this role, you'll teach students of varying ages and skill levels, create lesson plans, assess progress, and prepare students for performances. You'll collaborate with store staff to support rentals, sales, and school programs, helping families select appropriate instruments and materials. You'll maintain accurate schedules and records, communicate regularly with parents and educators, and contribute to a supportive, student-focused, community-oriented environment that promotes lifelong music learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels
• Develop individualized lesson plans and assess student progress regularly
• Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances
• Collaborate with store staff to support instrument rentals, sales, and school programs
• Advise students and families on instrument and accessory selection
• Maintain accurate teaching schedules, attendance, and progress records
• Communicate consistently with parents, students, and educators
• Uphold a safe, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment
• Participate in store events and community outreach related to music education
