Brass Teacher

Music & Arts is seeking a Brass Teacher to provide high quality private and group brass lessons in our retail store. In this part time role, you'll teach trumpet, trombone, and related brass instruments to students of all ages and skill levels, following structured curricula while tailoring instruction to individual goals. You'll prepare students for school performances and auditions, communicate progress to parents, and collaborate with store staff to promote lessons and recitals. This role offers a student focused, community oriented environment with opportunities to grow your teaching career in a mission driven music retail setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide private and group brass instrument lessons to students of varying ages and levels
• Develop and follow structured lesson plans and curricula aligned with student goals
• Assess student skills, track progress, and adjust instruction as needed
• Prepare students for school concerts, recitals, and auditions
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress
• Maintain an organized, safe, and welcoming teaching studio
• Collaborate with store staff to promote lessons, recitals, and educational events
• Support student instrument, accessory, and sheet music needs through basic product guidance
• Maintain accurate scheduling, attendance, and basic student records
