CDL Class A Driver

Contract Lumber is seeking a reliable CDL Class A Driver to safely deliver building materials to job sites across South Carolina. In this role, you will operate tractors and flatbeds, secure loads, perform pre/post-trip inspections, and follow DOT and company safety standards. You'll coordinate with dispatch and yard teams, provide courteous on-site customer service, and help with loading/unloading as needed. This hands-on position offers steady hours, a strong safety culture, and the chance to grow with a customer-focused, team-driven building materials supplier.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL Class A tractors and trailers to deliver building materials to job sites across South Carolina
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
• Secure and protect loads according to DOT and company safety standards
• Assist with loading and unloading materials using appropriate equipment when needed
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, paperwork, and electronic records as required
• Communicate with dispatch, yard, and field teams to meet delivery schedules
• Provide professional, courteous service to builders and jobsite personnel
• Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies and procedures
• Support yard and logistics operations as assigned to meet customer needs
