Class A CDL Driver

Contract Lumber is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to safely deliver building materials, lumber, and framing packages to homebuilders and job sites across North Carolina. You will operate late-model tractors and flatbeds, secure loads, complete accurate delivery documentation, and maintain DOT and company safety standards. This hands-on role works closely with dispatch, yard, and field teams to ensure timely deliveries, quality service, and jobsite support. Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A CDL tractor and flatbed or similar equipment on regional routes in North Carolina
• Load, secure, and unload lumber and building materials using proper tie-down and safety practices
• Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork, including bills of lading, manifests, and electronic logs
• Communicate with dispatch, yard, and field teams to meet delivery windows and resolve issues
• Provide professional, courteous service to homebuilders, contractors, and jobsite personnel
• Report vehicle maintenance needs and assist in keeping equipment clean and in good working order
• Support yard and jobsite operations as needed, including basic material handling or staging loads
