Contract Lumber, a leading building materials supplier, is seeking a reliable CDL A Driver to deliver lumber and building products to homebuilders and contractors across South Carolina. In this field-based role, you'll safely operate tractor-trailers or flatbeds, perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, secure and unload loads, and follow all DOT and company safety standards. You'll work closely with dispatch, yard, and jobsite teams to ensure accurate, on-time deliveries while representing our hands-on, service-driven culture. Responsibilities

  • Safely operate CDL A tractor-trailers to deliver lumber and building materials to residential and commercial job sites across South Carolina
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring equipment is safe, compliant, and properly maintained
  • Secure and unload loads using appropriate tie-downs, tarps, and safety procedures to protect product and personnel
  • Follow all DOT, state, and company safety regulations, driving standards, and hours-of-service requirements
  • Communicate professionally with dispatch, yard, and customer site personnel to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, tickets, and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards
  • Assist with loading in the yard as needed and support logistics operations during peak periods
  • Represent Contract Lumber's service-focused culture by being punctual, courteous, and solution-oriented on every delivery
