Class A CDL Driver

Contract Lumber, a growing building materials supplier, is seeking a dependable Class A CDL Driver to safely transport lumber and construction materials to homebuilder and contractor jobsites across Georgia. In this role, you'll perform safe and timely deliveries, complete pre- and post-trip inspections, secure loads, and operate forklifts or other equipment for loading and unloading. You'll work closely with yard and field teams, follow DOT and company safety standards, and provide professional, courteous service while representing our hands-on, customer-focused culture on every route.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A CDL equipment to deliver lumber and building materials to jobsites across Georgia
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections in compliance with DOT and company standards
• Secure loads using proper tie-down and load protection techniques to prevent damage or shifting
• Load and unload materials using forklift or other approved equipment as needed
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork, logs, and electronic records
• Follow assigned routes and schedules while adapting to traffic, weather, and site conditions
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, yard teams, and customers regarding delivery status
• Represent Contract Lumber professionally at customer jobsites, providing courteous, reliable service
• Follow all safety policies, PPE requirements, and operational procedures at yards and jobsites
• Report vehicle issues, safety concerns, and delivery problems promptly to supervision
