Automotive Service Technician
Stokes-Hodges Ford is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain Ford and pre-owned vehicles in our fast-paced, customer-focused service department. Responsibilities include performing accurate diagnostics, completing factory-recommended maintenance, executing high-quality repairs, and documenting all work in compliance with Ford and dealership standards. You will use modern scan tools, technical service information, and OEM parts to ensure safe, reliable repairs. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and professionalism while working closely with advisors and coworkers. Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns using scan tools and testing equipment
- Perform factory-recommended maintenance and general repairs on Ford and other vehicles
- Complete high-quality repairs on engines, brakes, steering, suspension, HVAC, and electrical systems
- Follow Ford and dealership repair procedures, safety standards, and documentation requirements
- Communicate findings and repair needs to service advisors clearly and professionally
- Road test vehicles to verify repairs and ensure safe, reliable performance
- Maintain clean, organized work area and care for dealership tools and equipment
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with Ford and industry repair standards
- Support a customer-first culture through courteous, professional interactions
- Collaborate with teammates to meet shop productivity and quality goals
