Class A CDL Driver

Contract Lumber, a leading building materials supplier, is seeking a dependable Class A CDL Driver to deliver lumber and construction materials to homebuilders and job sites across Indiana. In this role, you'll safely load, secure, transport, and unload materials using flatbeds and material-handling equipment while maintaining DOT compliance and a clean driving record. You'll interact directly with customers and jobsite crews, uphold safety standards, complete inspections and delivery documentation, and work closely with our operations team in a hands-on, team-oriented, and customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on regional routes across Indiana
• Load, secure, transport, and unload lumber and building materials to job sites and customer locations
• Ensure proper use of straps, chains, and other securement devices for flatbed or similar equipment
• Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations
• Maintain accurate logs, delivery documentation, and inspection records
• Communicate professionally with dispatch, operations staff, and jobsite customers
• Follow all safety protocols on the road and on active construction sites
• Assist with basic yard, staging, and material-handling tasks as needed
• Report vehicle or equipment issues promptly for maintenance
• Represent Contract Lumber with reliability, punctuality, and customer-focused service
