CNC Turn / Lathe Operator

Hi-Tek Manufacturing Inc in Southington, CT is seeking a CNC Turn/Lathe Operator to produce high-precision components for aerospace, medical, defense, and high-tech customers. Responsibilities include setting up and operating CNC lathes, reading blueprints and GD&T, performing in-process inspections, adjusting offsets, and maintaining tight tolerances. You'll collaborate with a quality-driven, team-oriented group focused on continuous improvement and technical excellence, using advanced CNC technology to support complex, high-tolerance projects in a growing, precision-focused company.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC turning/lathe machines to produce precision components to print
• Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and GD&T requirements
• Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision gauges
• Adjust tool offsets, feeds, and speeds to maintain tight tolerances and surface finish
• Monitor tool wear, change tooling, and perform basic machine maintenance
• Maintain accurate production and quality records per company procedures
• Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and quality staff to resolve manufacturing issues

• S, and continuous improvement practices on the shop floor
