CDL A Yard Jockey/Switcher

TransForce Inc. is seeking a safety focused CDL A Yard Jockey/Switcher to efficiently move trailers within customer yards and terminals. In this role, you will spot, park, and organize trailers, perform pre and post trip inspections, and communicate closely with dispatch and warehouse teams to support on time loading and departures. You will operate yard tractors and related equipment in compliance with DOT, OSHA, and site rules, maintaining accurate move logs and documentation. Responsibilities

• Safely move, spot, and park trailers within yards and dock doors using yard tractors
• Perform pre and post trip inspections on yard tractors and trailers and report defects
• Maintain accurate logs of trailer moves, locations, and equipment status
• Coordinate closely with dispatch, warehouse, and gate personnel to support loading schedules
• Follow all DOT, OSHA, and site specific safety policies and procedures
• Verify trailer numbers, seal integrity, and basic load information as required
• Operate in a fast paced yard environment while minimizing delays and congestion
• Support a professional, service oriented culture with reliable, on time execution
