CDL A Yard Jockey

TransForce Inc. seeks a reliable CDL A Yard Jockey to safely move, spot, and stage trailers within busy yards for transportation and logistics clients. In this on-site role, you'll maneuver trailers in tight spaces, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensure equipment is positioned for on-time loading, unloading, and dispatch. You'll follow all DOT/FMCSA and site safety rules while communicating with dispatch and yard personnel. Responsibilities

• Safely move, spot, and stage trailers within yard and dock areas
• Perform accurate pre- and post-trip inspections on tractor and trailers
• Couple and uncouple trailers, chock wheels, and secure equipment per site rules
• Communicate with dispatch, yard managers, and dock staff to prioritize moves
• Maintain compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
• Operate in tight spaces, backing and maneuvering trailers with precision
• Report equipment defects, hazards, or incidents promptly
• Follow yard maps, traffic patterns, and PPE requirements
• Accurately complete basic logs or ELD entries as required
• Support a safety-focused, professional environment representing Trans
• Force Inc. clients.
