Production Mechanic

Pelton Shepherd Industries seeks a 2nd Shift Production Mechanic in Stockton, CA to keep our gel pack manufacturing lines running safely and efficiently. You'll troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, fillers, sealers, and support equipment, minimizing downtime and ensuring product quality. Working closely with production teams, you'll diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues, document work, and follow strict safety and GMP standards. Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production machinery, conveyors, fillers, and sealing equipment on 2nd shift
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
• Diagnose and correct mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues
• Document maintenance activities and parts usage in maintenance logs or CMMSCollaborate with production staff to prioritize repairs and support efficient line changeovers
• Follow all safety, Lockout/Tagout, and GMP procedures in a food/pharma-related environment
• Inspect equipment for wear, identify root causes of recurring problems, and recommend improvements
• Assist with equipment installations, adjustments, and minor fabrication or welding as needed
