Special Needs Attendant

Vivalon is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Attendant to join our team, contributing to our mission of enhancing the independence, health, and well-being of older adults in Marin County. This role involves direct interaction and support for adults with various special needs, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care and support through our tailored services.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care and assistance to special needs clients, including daily activities and personal care.
• Assist in the transportation of clients to various appointments, activities, and social programs organized by Vivalon.
• Monitor and document the health and emotional condition of clients, reporting any significant changes to supervisors or healthcare providers.
• Coordinate with healthcare professionals and family members to cater to the specific needs of clients.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to stay updated with the latest in care techniques and special needs support.
• Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all clients, respecting their dignity and privacy at all times.
