Production Mechanic

Pelton Shepherd Industries in Stockton, CA seeks a 3rd Shift Production Mechanic to keep manufacturing lines running safely and efficiently. You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues on production equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and document all work. Working independently on the night shift, you'll partner with operations to minimize downtime and support quality, sustainable cold chain products. This role fits a hands-on mechanic who values integrity, teamwork, and reliable, environmentally responsible manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues on production equipment
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on manufacturing lines and support systems
• Inspect machinery to identify wear, potential failures, and safety concerns
• Document maintenance activities, parts used, and downtime in maintenance logs or CMMSCollaborate with production staff to prioritize repairs and minimize line interruptions
• Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout and PPE requirements
• Assist with equipment changeovers, setups, and minor improvements to reliability
• Communicate shift status, major issues, and repair needs to supervisors and incoming shifts
