Driver

Via Transportation is hiring Drivers to power our tech-enabled public mobility services. As a Driver, you'll safely transport riders in company vehicles, using Via's driver app to receive trips and follow dynamic, app-based routes. You'll provide friendly, professional customer service, assist passengers as needed, and keep vehicles clean and well-maintained. Responsibilities include pre- and post-trip inspections, adhering to traffic and safety rules, and communicating with operations teams. This on-the-road role is ideal for safety-focused, reliable drivers who want to support efficient, data-driven public transit in their community.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate company vehicles to transport passengers along assigned routes and service zones
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and Via Transportation operating procedures
• Use Via's driver app to receive trips, follow GPS directions, and manage pick-ups and drop-offs
• Provide courteous, professional customer service and assist riders with boarding as needed
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety issues
• Communicate clearly with dispatch and support teams regarding route changes, delays, or incidents
• Maintain accurate trip logs and documentation in the mobile app
• Keep vehicle clean, presentable, and stocked with required supplies
• Adhere to schedules while adjusting to dynamic, on-demand routing
• Participate in required trainings and safety meetings
