Driver

TransForce Inc. seeks a professional CDL A Intermodal Driver to safely move containers to and from rail yards, ports, and customer sites. In this role, you will complete local and regional runs, manage time sensitive deliveries, and ensure secure loading and unloading of intermodal freight. Drivers must follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations while maintaining accurate logs and shipment documentation. You'll interact with dispatch, customers, and yard personnel to coordinate pickups and deliveries, address issues, and support efficient, on time operations in a fast paced transportation and logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CDL A tractor hauling intermodal containers between rail yards, ports, and customer locations
• Perform thorough pre trip and post trip inspections and report maintenance issues promptly
• Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies and procedures
• Manage accurate ELD/logs, bills of lading, and delivery documentation
• Ensure proper cargo securement and verify container and chassis condition
• Coordinate closely with dispatch on schedules, route changes, and delivery updates
• Provide professional customer service at rail ramps, ports, and client facilities
• Meet on time pickup and delivery expectations while following hours of service rules
• Navigate local and regional routes, traffic patterns, and terminal/yard procedures
• Support a safety focused, professional culture and report incidents or near misses immediately
