SHUTTLE DRIVER

TransForce, a premier leader in the staffing and compliance solutions for the CDL sector, is seeking a dedicated and professional CDL A Shuttle Driver to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of goods and materials for our esteemed clients. As a Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer to move freight between locations within a specified area. This position requires adherence to all safety procedures and the ability to operate vehicles efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a tractor-trailer/truck to transport goods, materials, or equipment between various locations as assigned.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal vehicle safety.
• Ensure all documentation related to freight movement is complete and accurate.
• Maintain communication with dispatch and report any issues or concerns immediately.
• Comply with all DOT regulations as well as company policies regarding the secure and safe handling of goods.
• Participate in safety briefings and training sessions as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment including the vehicle.
• Assist with loading and unloading of cargo as needed.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in operating a commercial motor vehicle (CMV)
• Excellent navigational and route management abilities
• Strong time management and customer service skills
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
• Ability to maintain accurate transport logs and records
