Responsibilities

• Operate a tractor-trailer or truck with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds per Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicles in clean and operational condition.
• Follow dispatch instructions and comply with all local, county, state, and federal regulations of the Department of Transportation and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
• Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions from appropriate sources, ensuring goods are delivered on time and in good condition.
• Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations.
