Driver

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle with flatbed trailer for local routes
• Secure, load, and unload flatbed freight using straps, chains, binders, and tarps
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and document findings
• Comply with all DOT, FMCSA, and local traffic regulations and company safety policies
• Accurately maintain electronic logs and required shipping and delivery documentation
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and yard staff regarding schedules and deliveries
• Maintain a clean, safe, and roadworthy truck and trailer, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
• Follow all site-specific safety rules at customer locations and distribution centers
• Provide professional, courteous customer service at pick-up and delivery locations
• Participate in ongoing safety meetings, training, and skills development offered by Trans
