CDL A Yard Jockey

TransForce Inc. is seeking a reliable CDL A Yard Jockey to support yard and dock operations for transportation and warehousing clients. In this role, you will safely move trailers within the yard, to and from loading docks, and between designated spots using a yard tractor or day cab. Responsibilities include performing pre and post trip inspections, following all DOT and company safety procedures, coordinating with dispatch and warehouse teams, and maintaining accurate move logs. Responsibilities

• Move trailers safely within yard and to/from dock doors using yard tractor or truck
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on equipment and report defects
• Follow all DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies and procedures
• Coordinate moves with dispatch, warehouse, and shipping/receiving teams
• Maintain accurate yard checks, move logs, and trailer placement records
• Verify trailer status, seals, and paperwork as required
• Support dock operations by staging trailers for loading and unloading
• Respond to priority move requests to support on-time shipping schedules
