Staff Nurse

Methodist Health System is seeking a Staff Nurse PRN for our Day Surgery unit in Dallas. In this role, you'll deliver compassionate, faith-based pre- and post-operative care to adult day surgery patients, collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and support teams. Responsibilities include patient assessment, IV starts, medication administration, monitoring, and discharge teaching. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pre- and post-operative nursing care to day surgery patients.
• Perform patient assessments, develop and update nursing care plans.
• Administer medications, start and manage IVs, and monitor vital signs.
• Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation and adhere to regulatory and hospital policies.
• Ensure infection control, patient safety, and adherence to evidence-based practices.
• Respond to emergencies and changes in patient condition using appropriate clinical interventions.
