RN-PACU/Recovery

Ascension is seeking an experienced RN for our PACU/Recovery team. In this role, you will deliver compassionate, post-anesthesia care to surgical patients, closely monitoring vitals, airway, pain, and neurological status to ensure a safe recovery. You'll collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and an interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment that values diversity, continuous learning, and innovation. Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care and continuous monitoring for surgical patients in the recovery unit
• Perform ongoing patient assessments, including vitals, pain, neurological, and respiratory status
• Administer IV medications, fluids, and pain management per physician orders and protocols
• Respond to changes in patient condition and participate in emergency interventions
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on post-operative expectations and discharge instructions
• Document all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR accurately and timely
• Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards in a fast-paced PACU environment
