Horning Management LLC Corporation is seeking an Assistant Property Manager to support the day-to-day operations of its multifamily residential communities in the Washington, DC area. In this resident-focused, team-oriented role, you will assist with leasing, rent collection, and resident relations while coordinating maintenance requests and supporting community policies. The Assistant Property Manager helps maintain accurate records, prepares notices and reports, and ensures responsive, professional service. This position offers the opportunity to build skills in property management and contribute to long-term neighborhood impact in a mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily operations of multifamily residential properties in Washington, DCAssist with resident relations, respond to inquiries, and resolve service issues promptly
  • Coordinate leasing activities including tours, applications, and move-in/move-out processes
  • Process rent payments, track delinquencies, and assist with basic bookkeeping and reporting
  • Schedule and follow up on maintenance requests to ensure timely completion
  • Help enforce community policies, lease terms, and property standards
  • Assist with vendor coordination, inspections, and site walk-throughs
  • Prepare basic correspondence, notices, and resident communications
  • Maintain accurate resident files and property records in management systems
  • Support community-building events and initiatives aligned with company values
