Director of Development and Community Engagement

YWCA seeks a Director of Development and Community Engagement to grow philanthropic support and deepen community impact. This role leads fundraising strategy, major gifts, grants, events, and donor stewardship to sustain programs advancing racial and gender equity. The Director builds and manages community partnerships, engages volunteers, and oversees outreach efforts that elevate YWCA's mission. Collaborating closely with leadership, this position aligns development goals with strategic priorities, supervises a small team, manages data and reporting, and ensures all efforts reflect YWCA's equity-focused, mission-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement comprehensive fundraising strategy to grow philanthropic support for YWCA programs.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors, foundations, and corporate partners.
• Oversee grant strategy, proposals, reporting, and compliance in collaboration with program staff.
• Develop and execute community engagement initiatives, partnerships, and events.
• Supervise development and engagement staff and manage volunteer engagement.
• Collaborate with leadership to align fundraising and outreach with strategic plan and mission.
• Manage development operations including CRM data, reporting, and donor communications.
• Lead integrated marketing and communications efforts to elevate YWCA's visibility.
• Monitor fundraising performance, create dashboards, and report progress to senior leadership and board.
• Ensure all development and engagement activities reflect YWCA's equity, anti-racism, and inclusion values.
