Messer Construction is seeking an Ironworker to help build complex commercial, healthcare, and institutional projects with an unwavering focus on safety and quality. You will place, connect, and secure structural and reinforcing steel; interpret blueprints and detail drawings; rig and signal lifts; and work at heights using proper fall protection. You'll collaborate with field leaders and trades, follow all Messer safety procedures, and help deliver projects on time. Responsibilities

  • Erect and install structural steel members, decking, and connections per plans and specifications
  • Install, tie, and place reinforcing steel (rebar) for concrete structures and slabs
  • Read and interpret blueprints, detail drawings, and layout information to perform accurate installation
  • Rig, signal, and assist with crane and hoisting operations following safety and load-handling standards
  • Perform bolting, welding, and cutting tasks as required to complete steel connections
  • Work safely at heights using fall protection, ladders, lifts, and scaffolding according to OSHA and company rules
  • Inspect tools, equipment, and work areas, reporting hazards and contributing to jobsite safety meetings
  • Coordinate daily with foremen, superintendents, and other trades to maintain schedule and quality
  • Maintain accurate counts of materials, verify deliveries, and help prevent waste or rework
  • Participate in Messer training, mentorship, and continuous improvement initiatives to support career growth
