Pipefitter Journeyman

CoolSys is seeking an HVAC/R Pipefitter Journeyman to support our Manufacturing & Production operations within the HVAC Wholesale department. In this role, you will install, fit, and modify commercial and industrial HVAC/R piping systems, including refrigerant, hydronic, and process lines. You'll interpret blueprints, lay out and prepare piping, perform brazing and welding, and conduct pressure tests to ensure safe, efficient system performance. Working on diverse client projects, you'll collaborate with technicians and project teams to deliver reliable, energy-efficient solutions while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Install and fit HVAC/R piping for commercial and industrial systems per plans and specifications.
• Lay out, cut, thread, weld, and braze pipe and tubing for refrigeration and hydronic systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and P&IDs to ensure accurate installation.
• Perform pressure testing, leak checks, and system start-up to meet quality and safety standards.
• Troubleshoot and repair piping-related issues to maintain system performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with technicians, project managers, and contractors to complete projects on schedule.
• Follow OSHA, company, and industry safety practices on all job sites.
• Document work performed and communicate status and recommendations to supervisors and clients.
