Building Substitute Teacher

Christian School Association of Greater Harrisburg (CSAGH) seeks a Building Substitute Teacher to serve across K-12 classrooms at West Shore Christian Academy and Harrisburg Christian School. The substitute will provide Christ-centered instruction by following teacher lesson plans, managing classroom routines, and supporting students academically and spiritually. Responsibilities include maintaining a positive learning environment, integrating a biblical worldview, supervising students during transitions and activities, and collaborating with faculty and administrators. This role is ideal for a committed Christian educator eager to invest in students and grow within a mission-driven school community.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction in K-12 settings following teacher lesson plans
• Maintain a Christ-centered, orderly, and engaging classroom environment
• Adapt teaching methods to meet varied student learning needs
• Integrate biblical worldview into instruction and classroom interactions
• Manage student behavior with grace, consistency, and clear expectations
• Communicate effectively with administrators, staff, and students
• Support school procedures, routines, and safety protocols
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure instructional continuity
• Supervise students during transitions, specials, lunch, and recess
• Model Christian character, professionalism, and servant leadership
