After School Teacher

KinderCare is seeking an After School Teacher to support elementary-aged students at Yermo School in a safe, engaging environment. In this part-time role, you'll lead enrichment activities, provide homework help, and supervise play that supports social and academic growth. You'll implement age-appropriate lesson plans, maintain classroom routines, and communicate regularly with families. Working in our inclusive, collaborative culture, you'll receive training, mentoring, and opportunities to grow while making a meaningful impact on children each afternoon.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage students in a safe, nurturing after-school environment
• Plan and lead age-appropriate educational and enrichment activities
• Provide homework assistance and academic support
• Promote positive behavior and social-emotional development
• Maintain orderly classroom routines and manage attendance
• Communicate with families and school staff about student progress and needs
• Ensure adherence to Kinder
• Care and school policies and safety procedures
• Prepare, organize, and clean activity and learning spaces
• Support inclusion and respect for diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Participate in training and professional development sessions
