Lead Pre K Teacher

KinderCare seeks a Lead Pre-K Teacher to guide young learners at Abington Friends School. In this role, you'll design and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons, foster social-emotional growth, and maintain a safe, engaging classroom. You will observe and assess children's progress, communicate regularly with families, and collaborate with teaching staff to align with school and KinderCare standards. You'll model inclusive practices, support classroom assistants, ensure compliance with licensing and safety regulations, and contribute to a positive, growth-focused school culture.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate Pre-K curriculum aligned with educational standards
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Assess and document children's developmental progress and learning outcomes
• Communicate regularly with families about student growth and classroom activities
• Lead and mentor assistant teachers and support staff in the classroom
• Manage classroom routines, behavior, and transitions effectively
• Ensure compliance with state licensing, health, and safety regulations
• Collaborate with school leadership and colleagues on program goals and initiatives
• Prepare instructional materials and maintain organized learning centers
• Participate in professional development and continuous improvement activities
