Before and After-School Teacher

KinderCare is seeking a Before and After-School Teacher for Westlake Elementary. In this role, you'll lead engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's academic and social-emotional growth. You will supervise groups of school-age children, assist with homework, and maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that reflects KinderCare's commitment to diversity and growth. Collaborate with families, school staff, and teammates, follow health and safety guidelines, manage behavior positively, and contribute to program planning and classroom organization.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and engage school-age children before and after school
• Plan and lead age-appropriate educational and recreational activities
• Support homework and enrichment tasks
• Maintain a safe, clean, inclusive classroom environment
• Implement positive behavior management strategies
• Communicate regularly with families and school staff
• Follow all health, safety, and licensing regulations
• Assist with daily routines such as arrival, snack, and dismissal
• Collaborate with teammates on program planning and improvement
• Document attendance and report any incidents or concerns
