Before and After Care Counselor

KinderCare seeks a Before and After Care Counselor to support KOA Elementary students in a safe, nurturing environment. You will supervise children before and after school, lead engaging activities, support homework, and promote social-emotional growth. Responsibilities include ensuring safety, maintaining positive behavior, communicating with families and school staff, and following licensing and health guidelines. You'll model KinderCare's inclusive culture, contribute to a supportive team, and have opportunities to grow your skills in childcare and early education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children before and after school in a safe, structured setting
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities and games
• Support homework and quiet study time
• Promote positive behavior and social-emotional development
• Ensure child safety by following all health and safety procedures
• Communicate with parents, guardians, and school staff as needed
• Maintain clean, organized program spaces and materials
• Document attendance and follow sign-in/sign-out procedures
• Support inclusion and respectful interactions among children
• Collaborate with Kinder
• Care and school teams on program needs
