Before and After School Teacher

KinderCare is seeking a Before and After School Teacher at Leroy H Smith School to support school-age children in a safe, engaging environment. In this role, you'll plan and lead age-appropriate activities, assist with homework, and encourage social and emotional growth. You'll maintain classroom safety, communicate regularly with families, and model positive behavior. Collaborating with colleagues, you'll help create an inclusive, nurturing culture aligned with KinderCare's mission while gaining opportunities for professional growth in early childhood and school-age education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children before and after school in a safe, structured setting
• Plan and lead age-appropriate educational and recreational activities
• Support homework and learning routines for school-age children
• Promote social, emotional, and behavioral development
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about child progress and daily activities
• Implement center policies, safety, and health procedures
• Collaborate with school staff and Kinder
• Care colleagues to support program goals
• Document attendance, incidents, and required reports
• Support inclusion and positive classroom culture for diverse learners
