Regional Class A Tanker Driver

Clean Harbors is seeking a Regional Cross Border Class A Tanker Driver to safely transport bulk liquid materials across U.S.-Canada routes. In this role, you will operate and maintain tanker equipment, ensure regulatory and hazardous materials compliance, and complete accurate logs and documentation. You'll work within a safety-first, environmentally focused culture that values integrity, teamwork, and service excellence. Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A tanker truck to transport hazardous and non-hazardous liquid and bulk materials across regional and cross-border routes safely and efficiently
• Adhere to all DOT, FMCSA, and cross-border regulations, including customs and documentation requirements for international shipments
• Perform thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of tractor, trailer, and tanker equipment, reporting and documenting any defects or maintenance needs
• Safely load and unload tanker products using appropriate pumps, hoses, valves, and fittings while following site-specific and company safety procedures
• Use required PPE and follow Clean Harbors' safety-first protocols, including lockout/tagout, spill prevention, and emergency response guidelines
• Maintain accurate logs, shipping papers, manifests, and electronic records using ELD systems and company tools
• Coordinate with dispatch, logistics, and customer site personnel to meet delivery schedules and resolve on-road or site issues professionally
• Monitor product integrity and ensure securement of all loads, verifying correct product, volume, and destination before departure
• Respond appropriately to incidents or spills within the scope of training, immediately notifying the proper internal and external contacts
• Represent Clean Harbors professionally at customer locations and at the border, demonstrating integrity, excellent communication, and commitment to environmental protection
• Participate in ongoing safety meetings, training, and skills development programs focused on environmental compliance and tanker operations
• Support continuous improvement by identifying hazards, near misses, and process enhancements that improve safety, service quality, and environmental performance
