Operations Supervisor

Republic Services seeks an Operations Supervisor to lead daily landfill activities and ensure safe, compliant, and efficient site operations. You'll supervise crews and heavy equipment, coordinate waste placement, oversee inspections, and enforce safety and environmental regulations. This role partners closely with drivers, scale house, and maintenance teams to meet service goals, control costs, and maintain site appearance. You'll monitor performance metrics, train team members, support continuous improvement, and model our culture of safety, integrity, and environmental responsibility while serving the community.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily landfill operations, staff, and equipment
• Enforce safety standards and environmental compliance at the landfill
• Coordinate waste placement, traffic flow, and site housekeeping
• Schedule, direct, and monitor work assignments for crews
• Conduct inspections, incident reports, and performance tracking
• Collaborate with drivers, scale house, and maintenance teams
• Train, coach, and develop frontline employees
• Support cost control, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure regulatory and company policy adherence
• Communicate operational updates and issues to management
