Job Requirements

• MD or DO with active physician credentials
• Board certified in Gastroenterology or eligible based on facility requirements
• At least 1 year of experience in gastroenterology practice, GI consults, or procedural coverage
• Current certifications required: ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, and BLS
• Experience performing advanced GI procedures and inpatient consults
• Ability to independently manage a busy endoscopy schedule
• Willingness to complete credentialing within the outlined timeframe

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled colonoscopies in a Monday through Friday workflow
• Evaluate and manage inpatient gastroenterology consults from the prior night
• Provide GI lab coverage for follow-up services when indicated
• Perform upper and lower GI endoscopy procedures, including biopsy and polyp excision
• Support ERCP, EUS, PEG placement, liver biopsy, and other advanced GI procedures as needed
• Complete procedures such as esophageal dilation/manometry and sigmoidoscopy
• Assist with urgent GI needs and support continuity of care in a high-demand healthcare environment
