Low Voltage Technician

Faith Technologies is seeking a Low Voltage Technician to install, terminate, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems on commercial and industrial construction projects. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, pulling and routing cable, installing devices, panels, and racks, and testing and certifying systems such as fire alarm, security, access control, data, and communication. The Technician will follow strict safety standards, document work, and collaborate with electricians, engineers, and project managers. Faith Technologies supports growth through training, apprenticeships, and advancement into specialized or leadership roles in a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, and secure low-voltage cabling for data, fire alarm, security, and communication systems.
• Terminate and label copper and fiber cables, patch panels, jacks, and devices to industry standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to plan low-voltage layouts.
• Install devices, control panels, racks, and related low-voltage hardware on commercial and industrial sites.
• Test, troubleshoot, and certify cabling and system performance, documenting results and repairs.
• Follow all Faith Technologies and OSHA safety policies and procedures on active construction sites.
• Coordinate tasks with electricians, engineers, and project managers to meet project schedules.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring organized, high-quality installations.
• Complete job documentation, including as-built changes, test reports, and daily logs.
• Participate in training, apprenticeships, and continuing education to advance technical skills.
