Crew Leader

Yellowstone Landscape seeks a Crew Leader to oversee commercial landscape installation and construction projects. Lead a small crew on grading, hardscape, plantings, and irrigation work while ensuring safety, quality, and productivity. Coordinate daily tasks, read site plans, and operate equipment such as skid steers, trenchers, and mowers. Train crew members, inspect work, and maintain tools and vehicles. Communicate with supervisors and clients on progress and site conditions. This hands-on role is ideal for experienced landscape or construction professionals who enjoy outdoor work, coaching others, and building high-profile properties and public spaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a landscape construction crew on commercial job sites
• Plan and assign daily tasks based on project plans and schedules
• Read and interpret site plans, layouts, and construction details
• Perform and oversee grading, hardscape, planting, and irrigation work
• Operate and maintain landscape and light construction equipment
• Enforce safety procedures and conduct daily safety checks
• Train and coach crew members on best practices and equipment use
• Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to specifications
• Coordinate with supervisors and clients on progress and site issues
• Ensure proper care, loading, and transport of tools, materials, and vehicles
