Mechanic

Yellowstone Landscape is seeking a Mechanic to maintain and repair construction and commercial landscaping equipment for high-profile outdoor projects. In this hands-on role, you'll diagnose and service mowers, loaders, trucks, and small engines, perform preventative maintenance, and respond to breakdowns to keep field crews productive and safe. You'll work in a safety-first, team-focused environment with modern tools, ongoing training, and clear paths to advance your career in equipment, construction, and landscape operations while supporting beautiful, sustainable outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair construction and landscape equipment, including mowers, loaders, trucks, and small engines
• Perform routine preventative maintenance: oil changes, filters, belts, hydraulics, and tire service
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, and work orders
• Ensure all repairs follow OSHA and company safety standards
• Assist with equipment setup, calibration, and seasonal changeovers
• Communicate repair needs, timelines, and priority issues with supervisors and crew leaders
• Keep shop, tools, and work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety policies
• Support field crews with on-site repairs and emergency breakdowns
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current on equipment, diagnostics, and best practices
