Mechanic

Yellowstone Landscape is seeking a Mechanic to keep our commercial landscaping and construction equipment running safely and efficiently. In this hands-on role, you'll diagnose and repair mowers, trenchers, skid-steers, trucks, and trailers while performing routine preventive maintenance to reduce downtime. You'll work closely with field crews in a safety-first, team-focused shop environment, using modern tools and equipment. Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair landscaping and light construction equipment including mowers, trenchers, compactors, and skid-steers
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, fluid changes, filter replacements, and safety checks to minimize equipment downtime
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and small engine issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
• Maintain accurate service records, parts usage, and repair logs in accordance with company and safety standards
• Collaborate with field crews and supervisors to prioritize repairs and ensure equipment is ready for daily operations
• Order and track parts and supplies, helping keep the shop organized, safe, and compliant with OSHA guidelines
• Operate equipment for testing and verification of repairs before returning to service
• Support fleet upkeep for trucks and trailers, including basic brake, tire, and lighting system repairs
