As a Blood Component Manufacturing Technician at the American National Red Cross, you will help ensure a safe and reliable blood supply for patients in need. In this Manufacturing & Production role, you'll process, label, and prepare blood components following strict regulatory and quality standards. You will operate and maintain equipment, perform accurate documentation, and support inventory control. Collaborating within a mission-driven, compassionate team, you'll contribute directly to lifesaving care while gaining hands-on experience in a diverse, inclusive, and humanitarian-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, label, and process blood donations into components following SOPs and FDA/AABB regulations
  • Operate centrifuges, sealers, and lab equipment to separate, modify, and store blood components
  • Perform quality control checks, documentation, and inventory management to ensure product safety and traceability
  • Maintain aseptic technique, biosafety practices, and proper cold chain storage conditions
  • Collaborate with lab, collection, and distribution teams to meet hospital and patient needs
